To let/rental: A picture-postcard four bedroom home with pool and gardens in an idyllic village in the heart of the Cotswolds
To Let/Rental
A quintessential four bedroom Cotswold home in the stunning village of Wyck Rissington — generous living space, a heated swimming pool, manicured gardens, majestic country walks from the doorstep, and close to the area's best pubs, restaurants and amenities.
Just 1 hour 15 minutes by direct train from central London, every hour.
Heath Lawn is an exceptional Grade II listed detached Cotswold residence of charm and character, with beautiful and mature landscaped gardens, spacious interiors that combine historic and modern, and uninterrupted views over the village green and the valley beyond.
Ground Floor
At its heart is a huge contemporary family room combining TV lounge, dining area and bespoke kitchen with Aga, quality fittings, integrated appliances and utility room — opening directly on to the gardens through French doors.
A generous traditional living room with magnificent inglenook working fireplace, and a classically elegant dining room with its own working fireplace, complete the ground floor. All feature exposed beams and flagstone floors.
First Floor
Upstairs, three generous bedrooms (plus a fourth by arrangement) sit under original beams and vaulted ceilings — each with its own character, layered rugs, and windows framing the meadow and the countryside beyond.
Bathrooms combine period detail with real indulgence, from a hand-beaten copper roll-top bath to burr-wood dressing areas and deep window seats.
Outside
Heath Lawn's dedicated driveway across the green leads to extensive graveled private parking, fully landscaped mature gardens and lawns, extensive seating around the heated pool, an outdoor dining area, a charming open-sided cart barn, a box parterre and fire pit — a beautifully balanced and serene setting.
Croquet and table tennis are available.
Wyck Rissington

Wyck Rissington is a picturesque small village in Gloucestershire, England, 20 miles west of Oxford, and minutes from Stow-on-the-Wold to the north and Bourton-on-the-Water to the south. It is both well connected locally and off the beaten track, with just one road in and out, and fewer than 100 residents.
The village spreads out along a long central village green half a mile from end to end, through an avenue of majestic horse chestnut trees. It has a duck pond, a 12th century church where a young Gustav Holst was once resident organist, spectacular valley views, and countryside walks on its doorstep.
Two local circular walks, taking 45 and 90 minutes, start and end outside Heath Lawn.
Walks & Transport

Endless country walks in the stunning Cotswold countryside are on Heath Lawn's doorstep. Stroll along miles of official routes, like the Oxfordshire Way, Warden's Way, Diamond's Way, Macmillan Way and Monarch's Way — or explore your own...

Wyck is a country idyll that's also a stone's throw from central London. Kingham train station is a 12 minute drive away, offering hourly direct train services to and from London Paddington in only 1 hour 15 minutes.
